Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan pushed back against what he called "misinformation" about his career after former President Donald TRUMP demanded his resignation. In a letter to staff, Tan emphasized his four-decade track record of operating within "the highest legal and ethical standards" while engaging with the Trump administration.

The semiconductor giant's stock ROSE 0.9% in premarket trading Friday despite the political controversy. Investors had initially welcomed Tan's March appointment, sending shares up 15% as he took over from Pat Gelsinger during a turbulent period for the chipmaker.
